Nigerian music veteran and businessman, D’banj who became a father for the first time awhile ago has spoken up about his experience so far. He said; “Being a father is very humbling. I have always acted as a father to a lot of young artistes from the days of Mo Hits but now, I have a child of my own. When he was born, I was in the hospital and as I held his hands, it made me realise that to whom much is given, much is expected. This is someone’s life that I am responsible for. It is not just about fatherhood but now I have a family. Before I became a family man, I took decisions without looking back. I could decide to sleep on the Mainland; I could decide to chill with my friends. But now, I have responsibilities.

NCC Vows to Curb Hate Speeches on Social Media

Nigerians using the cyberspace might be in for a hard time following the decision of the NCC to regulate social media to curtail hate speech.  Engr. Umar Garba Danbatta   The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said that it was working with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) to curb hate speeches on social media.   Speaking in Calabar while opening a two day workshop on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Utilization and Sustainability for South-South zone on Wednesday, organized by the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Engr. Holy Crime: Acclaimed Bishop Arraigned in Lagos Over Alleged Multi-million Naira Fraud

A self-acclaimed bishop of Mercy Tabernacle Church in the Ogba area of Lagos, has been arraigned for trial on a three-count charge of conspiracy, fraud and stealing. File photo   An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Friday admitted a self-acclaimed bishop, Bankole Jefferson, to a N1.5 million bail, after being  charged with N9 million fraud.   The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Yewande Aje-Afunwa, ruled that the accused must produce two sureties, who must show evidence of payment of three years tax to the Lagos State Government.   Jefferson, 54, bishop of Mercy Tabernacle Church, Ogba, Lagos, is standing trial on a three -count charge of conspiracy, fraud and stealing.   Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp.
